Carrie Jade Williams started writing after being diagnosed with a terminal, degenerative, neurological illness. For her first year of writing she won the prestigious Financial Times Essay Writing Competition, was selected as the Writer in Residence for the Irish Writers Centre, won the HISSAC and shortlisted for a number of prizes including the London Independent Short Story Prize and various others. She has had a number of articles and essays accepted for publication, has sold a number of screenplays. She is passionate about accessibility within the arts and ensuring creative spaces are fully inclusive.
